PRIVACY STATEMENT

At MediKore we are committed to maintaining the trust or our customers and value the data they share with us. We do not buy, sell or trade email lists. As part of our working towards GDPR compliance we have updated our Privacy Policy to provide detailed transparent information on when and why we collect personal information and how we keep it safe.

Website Cookies

This list is not exhaustive and in some instances we may collect additional data for the purposes set out in this policy. The data above is collected directly by us, for example, when you sign up for the newsletter or place an order through the website.

We also use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. This information is processed anonymously and does not identify anyone.  We do allow Google to identify anyone visiting our website.

We use a third party provider, Mail Chimp, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics pertaining to email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our emails. What we do with the information we gather:

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

  • We may use the information to improve our products and services.
  • We may periodically send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided.
  • From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may contact you by email, phone, fax or mail. We may use the information to customise the website according to your interests.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

SECTION 2 – ACCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA

If you have placed an order through the site and/or have an account with us you can access the information we hold on you by logging into your account through the website.

SECTION 3 - WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?

 

When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.

When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.

How do you get my consent?

SECTION 5 - DISCLOSURE

 

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.


In the unlikely event that a liquidator, administrator or receiver is appointed your information may be transferred to a third party purchaser of the business provided that purchaser undertakes to use your information for the same purposes as set out in this policy. We undertake not to provide your personal information to any third parties except in accordance with this policy. Your information will not be disclosed to government or local authorities or other government institutions except as required by law or other binding regulations.

 

SECTION 6 - SHOPIFY

 

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall. For more information, please see Shopify’s privacy policy.

 

Payment:

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
